Rutgers Professor Honored by NASA

POINT PLEASANT BEACH — Doyle Knight, a Rutgers University professor and borough resident, received recognition from the nation’s space agency Wednesday for his contributions to a study on the U.S. rocket industry.

“This was one of the best but most challenging projects I have ever managed for the agency, and I was glad to have someone of Professor Knight’s caliber on my team,” said Ave K. Kludze Jr., an engineering program manager for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.

Knight, 62, a professor in Rutgers University’s Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, received the NASA Certificate of Appreciation from Kludze.
